What we collect

• Your uploads. The video or audio file you submit, used only to generate your subtitles.
• Subtitles and transcripts generated from your uploads.
• Account details. An anonymous account is created when you first use the site. If you sign up, we also store your email address and a salted hash of your password (never the password itself).
• Usage records. Your minute balance, purchases and job history.
• Messages you send through the contact form.

How long we keep it

• Uploaded audio and video are deleted from our servers immediately after processing (or when a job fails).
• Generated subtitle files are kept for 7 days so you can re-download them, then deleted automatically.
• Account, balance and purchase records are kept while your account exists.

Who else sees your data

• Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe — we never see or store them.
• Subtitle text (not your audio or video) is sent to a large-language-model provider to convert spoken Cantonese into written Chinese.
• We do not sell your data or use it for advertising, and we do not use your content to train models.

Your rights

Under Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Message us via the contact form on the homepage and we will delete your account and associated data.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will note it on this page with a new date.
